Miss Jobey, Miss Rayson, Mrs Surtees and Mrs Crawford welcome everyone to Year 4!
Important days of the week in Year 4:
Wednesday - Homework due in.
Friday - Spelling test and new homework handed out.
For our last term, Year 4 will be exploring the coastlines of Britain and beyond. We will be looking at how erosion and deposition effects the shape of the land and using different natural materials to make art. In English, we will be looking at persuasion and using this in our writing and also explanation texts.
After practising their individual group compositions, 4J performed together as a class...

4R's Persuasive Adverts
Buy the Suzie doll!
We have been looking at different persuasive techniques this week. Together, we have planned adverts and recorded them on the iPads. Here is one of the finished adverts!
Some of the children in Year 4 were lucky enough to take part in the North Tyneside Skipping festival at the Lakeside Centre. The competition involved individual skipping challenges (mastering different tricky skips and doing them as fast as possible in a time limit), group skipping challenges and a skip dance.
Year 4 were fantastic!
We won gold for the skipping dance, silver for all of the group challenges and several of the children won individual bronze, silvers and golds for their individual skills challenges.
