Following some changes from the Dfe around the teaching of Phonics, we have changed our Phonics programme to ‘Essential Letters and Sounds’. This is a phonics programme based on our old scheme ‘Letters and Sounds’ (2007) Each sound is taught with a mnemonic which is a catchy saying to help children remember.
